This course is suitable for you if you have successfully completed Level B1 and are able to understand the main ideas in a complex text. Also if you can distinguish between concrete and abstract topics, including technical topics in your field of work, in conversation and/or text. The level is also suitable for those of you who are able to communicate fluently and spontaneously without tension and produce clear and detailed text across a wider range of topics. The course is also for those who can explain their point of view on a topical issue, highlighting advantages and disadvantages through argument.
On completion of a level B2 course you will be able to understand, respond to and give an opinion on a wide range of issues related to a particular specialism, extending and defending your ideas with appropriate and complementary aspects. In addition, you will be able to review and understand interesting information about books, films and games, be able to write, synthesise and evaluate information from a variety of sources and reason against or in favour of a particular viewpoint. You will also express yourself with fluency and ease and learn more complex grammatical constructions.
