Thanks to the English File system, in which each level builds on, reinforces and enriches the next, learning takes place in stages while focusing on each feature of the language. The Advanced (C1) course programme takes students into the world of English idiomatic expressions, phrasal verbs, more specific expressions and collocations. The intriguing texts set at this level not only enrich the students' vocabulary but also prompt them to carry on conversations on topics of contemporary interest. Throughout the course, students are introduced to interesting extracts from books and articles and acquire new skills in writing English in formal and informal styles, using the grammar and vocabulary covered in the level.
